# Prize Leaderboard

Compete for prizes based on player performance.

## How Rankings Work

On each Matchday, players accumulate points based on real on-pitch actions. At the end-of-Matchday snapshot, prizes are distributed to holders of the top-performing players.

**Prize positions:**

* Top 3 Forwards
* Top 3 Midfielders
* Top 3 Defenders
* 🌟 STAR Man (top overall scorer)

Your payout depends on how many cards you hold of players who finish in these reward positions.

## Leaderboard Updates

Player scores update in real-time during matches. You can watch the leaderboard change as goals, assists, and other actions are recorded.

Final rankings are locked once all eligible matches conclude and official results are confirmed.

## Matchdays

A Matchday is a scoring window covering a defined set of eligible fixtures.

**Each Matchday includes:**

* A defined set of eligible fixtures
* A dedicated prize pool
* One end-of-Matchday snapshot
* A full scoring reset after the Matchday ends

TopStrike runs two Matchdays every week:

* **Saturday Matchday**, covering Friday evening and Saturday fixtures across the eligible domestic leagues, all scored together
* **Sunday Matchday**, covering Sunday fixtures across the eligible domestic leagues

On weeks when European football is being played, a third is added:

* **European Matchday**, covering UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League fixtures

The European Matchday is the one exception to "one day". European ties are spread across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, so the Matchday runs the full midweek and every fixture in it is scored together as a single competition.

Each Matchday is scored and settled independently with its own prize pool.

## Eligibility Rules

A card is eligible for prizes on a Matchday if:

1. You hold the card at the **end-of-Matchday snapshot**
2. The card is within your **30-day eligibility window**
3. **Purchased before the Matchday countdown cut-off**

**How the 30-day window works:**

* Buying a card starts a new 30-day reward window
* Selling a card ends your eligibility
* Rebuying — even the same card — gives you a fresh 30 days
* If someone else buys a card, their 30 days start from their purchase time

This system keeps trading dynamic and rewards well-timed positioning.

## Why Hold Cards After Eligibility Ends?

Even when a card is no longer eligible for you, it can still be valuable:

* Position early ahead of upcoming Matchdays
* Anticipate fixtures, form spikes, and narratives
* Trade news (injuries, transfers, hype)
* Reset eligibility by selling and rebuying

Smart traders often accumulate "expired" cards before new Matchdays open.

## TL;DR

* 🛒 Buy before the Matchday countdown cut-off
* 📸 Hold the card at the end-of-Matchday snapshot
* ⏳ Each purchase gives 30 days of eligibility
* ♻️ Selling and rebuying resets eligibility
* 🔁 Cards remain tradable and strategically useful even after eligibility ends
